Hikaru Kicker is a 13-year-old boy who loves soccer and has grown up playing with a soccer ball all times ever since his father’s friend gave him a soccer ball when he was a baby.

Hikaru comes to Italy to learn soccer. He first joins a strong team at Genova but soon transfer to join an extremely weak team “Columbus” with his female friend Anna. Experiencing many hardships and difficulties, their team gradually becomes stronger and stronger, and finally defeat Margerita, one of the strongest soccer teams in Genova. During the first tournament in Genova, Hikaru and his teammates confront many rivals and develop increasing maturity. Can Hikaru score a goal and win the championship?
