“CHIBI MARUKO-CHAN” has been broadcasted since 1990 in more than 60 countries and one of Japan’s top rated (highest at 39.9%) animation series, and celebrate its 35th anniversary of broadcasting in Japan in 2025.

9-year-old Maruko is little bit lazy and cheeky, but also kind and full of curiosity. She loves to plan some smart tricks but also values her friendship and family.

The animation portrays a happy, fun, and sometimes heart-warming life from Maruko’s unique point of view. She is a “girl next door” in every country.

Based on a popular biographical comic book by Sakura Momoko.
