Hunter is a profession. A man who hunts for monsters, treasures and lands of mystery, thereby protecting the order of mankind and nature, is known as a "hunter".
When leading character Gon learns that his father- said to have died-is still alive somewhere as a famous hunter, Gon begins a journey to find his father so that Gon may become a hunter just like his father. In order to become a qualified hunter, however, one must pass an austere test. It is said that only one in tens of thousands, one in hundreds of thousands can pass this test...
Now Gon sets out on a dangerous and exciting adventure hoping to become a great hunter like his father.
